a new beginning...
i often feel that Sunday's are great for starting things, seeing as though it's the first day of the week, it's just very symbolic.

Monday, I lost my job, and for the rest of the week I've been job hunting and stressing out over what's gonna happen if I don't end up getting one and we go poor. But that won't happen. I've already had two interviews for one job, I'm taking a test for Verizon, AND I'm waiting for someone to call me back from the Eagle Tribune for an interview. I think the woman I spoke to about my resume over the phone was slightly impressed with the goals I mentioned. The whole thing about being an English major and all is often helpful.

Today Mike is at Foxwoods with the guys in the house he works for, so good for him. Which means I'm here all by myself, doing laundry, playing with the kitty, watching Buffy and doing some computer playing. There's only so much you can do on the internet before you're ready to hang yourself from the closet door or the ceiling fixture. But there is something to be said about the internet, it CAN often be useful when something needs to be looked up. And there's plenty of that to be done. Can't say that I'm bored, because I'm not, and I'm watching Buffy.
The episode I'm watching is called "Blood Ties." It's the one where Buffy and Giles tell the Scoobies that Dawn is the Key and Glory's after her. It gets very dramatic. Once Dawn finds out about all of what's going on, she freaks and cuts herself, convinced that she's not actually real. True, I hate Dawn, and the idea of Buffy having a little sister after spending four years without her, and for Buffy, her whole life without Dawn, but it carries the season on, and I sometimes feel it's used as a clever plot device. So, on to Buffy.

So, to a new day, a new beginning, and hopefully a new job.
